What you need to know

Visas & Passports

If travelling from overseas to participate in one of our summer programmes please ensure you check your local government guidelines on any visas required, or passport information, such as required length of time remaining. Global Achievers Academy is not responsible for ensuring you are up to date on this information but we do provide visa letters for students where required to assist you in this process.

The Road

In the US cars drive on the right-had side of the road. This is important information when thinking about crossing the road when in Boston, especially if travelling from overseas where your roads may be different!

Transfer time from Key Airports

30 minutes from Boston Logan International Airport | 1 hour from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport | 30 minutes by car from South Station (train access)

Plug Type/Voltage

There are two plug types, types A and B. Plug type A is the plug which has two flat parallel pins and plug type B is the plug which has two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin. We recommend students travelling from overseas bring plug type A as an adaptor. USA operates on a 120V supply voltage and 60Hz.
