We are excited to introduce an outstanding line-up of guest speakers for summer 2025 at Global Achievers Academy, part of the Global Leadership Programme for students aged 13–17.
Last year, we had the honour of welcoming several inspiring guest speakers. Chris Hines MBE shared his powerful work on sustainability with Surfers Against Sewage. Simon Greenman gave an insightful talk on AI and its impact on technology, while Christine Miles led a hands-on workshop focused on active listening skills. We also heard from John W. Doolittle, CAPT, USN (Ret), who shared his experiences from the military to highlight the importance of resilience. Each session sparked great interest and meaningful discussions, leaving our students motivated and eager to learn more.
That’s why we’re continuing this tradition in 2025. This year’s guest speakers all represent young changemakers and influential leaders who have challenged the status quo in business, education, and public life. We can’t wait to see the conversations and confidence they spark in Boston and London!
Asheesh Advani is the President and CEO of JA Worldwide, one of the largest youth-focused NGOs in the world. He has founded and scaled two successful tech companies and co-authored Modern Achievement with leadership expert Marshall Goldsmith. With degrees from Wharton and Oxford, Asheesh will share insights on innovation, entrepreneurship, and global leadership. His experience will help students understand how to turn ideas into action and create meaningful change.
Lord Bilimoria is a respected entrepreneur, parliamentarian, and academic. He founded Cobra Beer and became the first Zoroastrian Parsi to sit in the House of Lords. He has served as Chancellor of the University of Birmingham and holds fellowships at Oxford and London Business School. His leadership journey will help students explore the value of resilience, public service, and long-term vision in a global context.
Akshay Ruparelia started his first business at 16 and built Doorsteps.co.uk, a tech-driven estate agency that disrupted the real estate industry. He later launched a blockchain company and was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Growing up as a young carer for his deaf parents, Akshay brings a powerful message about perseverance, empathy, and using innovation to make a difference. His story will resonate strongly with young people who want to challenge norms and build their own path.
Guest speakers bring the programme to life by helping students see that leadership is not just an idea – it is something they can actually achieve. When they meet people who once had big dreams and turned them into reality, it becomes easier for students to believe they can do the same. This part of the programme often changes how students see themselves and their potential, encouraging them to aim higher than they ever thought possible!
