I’m classified as a heavy logic user. In a disagreement I’m able to whip up factual evidence quickly in a bid to prove my point. I took comfort in knowing evidence and independent review would always validate my argument.
Reading the book helped me to realize that being right on paper doesn’t always mean that the overall situation has been solved or improved. The other person is going to feel hard done and emotional, even though my arguments don’t factor in this abstract concept. Avoiding arguments like the plague, and using the techniques outlined in this book will help me to improve as a person, and not burn bridges with good people. Read through this book multiple times until you fully understand its teachings.
